Description

The aµtoPulse - TFF System is a fully automated, walk-away system that uses Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) for high-throughput sample concentration and diafiltration (buffer exchange, desalting), is a complex product because it has an automatic drive to do its task. This system uses web-based to run it.

Roles

For this project, my role is as UI/UX designer but assisted by another UI/UX designer. Because this is a project with a new and complex concept, the work on this project will be more about development until this product reaches customers and receives their feedback. For the process this time, it comes from what we will offer from the research results of the engineers, so the collection of requirements will be more to the engineers involved. There will be a lot of improvisation here because ideas will evolve with time and trial and error for some time to find a stable system that can function as expected.

Challenges

Because it was a new product, there were many changes in the middle of the development process.
High complexity products.
Understand new products in terms of concept and how they work.
Not only working with the Software team but with other teams such as the Hardware, Electronic, and firmware teams.
Differences in time and place with the Project Manager.
The features of the system are numerous because for the first development phase.
A new concept with a clamp where there is no similar concept from this company.
